How to Grant Google Analytics Access?

  • Sign in to Google Analytics:

    • Go to the Google Analytics website (analytics.google.com) and sign in with your Google account credentials.
  • Select the GA4 Property:

    • If you have multiple properties, select the GA4 property for which you want to give access.
  • Navigate to Admin Settings:

    • In the bottom left corner, click on the "Admin" tab. This will take you to the Admin Settings.

  • Choose the Account and Property:

    • In the Admin Settings, you'll see three columns: Account, Property, and View. Make sure you're in the right Account and Property that you want to manage.
  • Click on "Account access management":

    • Under the Property column, click on "Account Access Management." This is where you'll manage user access to the GA4 property.

  • Click on the Plus Icon to Add a New User:

    • In the User Management section, you'll see a list of existing users with their access levels. To add a new user, click on the plus icon or the "Add new users" button.

  • Enter the User's Email Address:

    • A dialog box will appear where you can enter the email address of the person you want to give access to.
  • Choose Access Level:

    • Select the "Administrator" under the roles setting.

  • Optional: Notify the User:

    • You can choose to notify the user by checking the box next to "Notify this user by email." This will send an email to the user notifying them of their access to the GA4 property.
  • Click on "Add":

    • Once you've entered the email address and chosen the access level, click on the "Add" button to give access to the user.
  • Confirmation:

    • You'll see a confirmation message indicating that the user has been added with the specified access level.
  • Verify Access:

    • Ask the user to sign in to Google Analytics with their email address to verify that they have access to the GA4 property.
