How to Grant Google Search Console Access?

  • Sign in to Google Search Console: Go to https://search.google.com/search-console/ and sign in using your Google account credentials.

  • Access Property Settings: Once you're logged in, you'll see a list of properties (websites) associated with your account. Click on the property (website) for which you want to grant access.

  • Navigate to Settings: In the left-hand sidebar, locate and click on "Settings" at the bottom of the list. This will open a dropdown menu.

  • Click on Users and Permissions: From the dropdown menu, select "Users and permissions". This will take you to the page where you can manage access to your property.

  • Click on Add User: On the Users and Permissions page, you'll see a list of users who currently have access to the property. To add a new user, click on the blue "Add user" button at the top right corner of the page.

  • Enter User's Email: A dialog box will appear prompting you to enter the email address of the person you want to give access to. Enter the email address associated with their Google account.

  • Select Permission Level: After entering the email address, you'll need to select "Owner" under permissions.

  • Send Invitation: Once you've selected the appropriate permission level, click on the "Add" button. This will send an invitation to the email address you entered, asking the user to accept access to the property.

  • User Acceptance: The person you invited will receive an email notification with instructions on how to accept the invitation. They will need to click on the link in the email and follow the prompts to accept access to the property.

  • Confirmation: Once the user has accepted the invitation, they will appear in the list of users with access to the property in your Google Search Console account.
